These Terms of Use govern your use of Awwal (the App). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
1. The App
Awwal provides tools for prayer-time viewing, worship planning, reminders, habit tracking, and user-configured Screen Time controls. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
You are responsible for reviewing the prayer-time calculation method, location, school, manual corrections, notification settings, and selected-app controls that you configure. Prayer times and reminders are aids only; they may vary by location, calculation method, local practice, device settings, connectivity, and third-party service availability.
2. Eligibility and Apple terms
You must be legally able to accept these terms. If you use the App on behalf of a minor, you are responsible for that use.
Your use of the App is also subject to the terms that apply to your Apple device, Apple ID, and App Store purchase or download. Apple is not responsible for the App's content, support, maintenance, or claims relating to the App, except where required by applicable law.
3. License
Subject to these terms, the developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for personal use and in accordance with Apple's applicable usage rules.
The App, its design, text, code, and other intellectual property are owned by the developer or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree not to:
- misuse, interfere with, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass the App or its Screen Time controls except where applicable law permits it;
- use the App in a way that violates law, another person's rights, or Apple's platform rules;
- rely on the App for emergency, safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decisions; or
- upload or include unlawful, infringing, or harmful content if an optional content feature is made available.
You remain responsible for your device, device passcode, Apple ID, chosen app selections, and permissions. The App cannot guarantee that a Screen Time restriction will always prevent access in every device, operating-system, account, network, or emergency circumstance.
5. Free features and Awwal Pro
Prayer times, basic prayer tracking, and protection recovery are free. Custom worship tasks, including Quran and adhkar tasks, require Awwal Pro. Pro is offered through Apple in-app purchases as monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime unlock. The lifetime unlock is a non-consumable purchase for Pro access without recurring subscription charges; it is not a promise that the App or every future feature will be available forever.
Available products, local prices, subscription periods, and any trial or introductory-offer conditions are displayed before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends at the applicable renewal price, subject to Apple's rules and any required notice or consent for price changes.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. If a trial is offered, its duration and the price after the trial are shown before confirmation; cancel before the trial ends to avoid the subscription charge under Apple's terms. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its refund policies and applicable consumer law.
Use Restore Purchases in the App to restore eligible purchases with the Apple Account used to buy them. A subscription provides Pro access while the entitlement remains valid. If access expires or a purchase is refunded or revoked, custom tasks pause. Their local configuration and history are preserved, and protection recovery remains available without payment. A one-time unlock does not cancel a subscription you already have; manage that subscription through Apple.
6. Third-party services
The App may request prayer-time data from AlAdhan at api.aladhan.com. That service is independent of the developer. Its availability, accuracy, terms, and privacy practices are governed by its own policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party services or content.
The App also uses Apple and Adapty for purchases, restoration, Pro access, paywalls, and commerce analytics, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Privacy
The Awwal Privacy Policy explains how the App uses information. It is incorporated into these terms.
8. Updates and changes
The developer may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App. Updates may be necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or platform changes. Continued use after an updated version or updated terms becomes effective means that you accept the change, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
The App does not provide religious rulings, professional advice, or a guarantee that a particular prayer-time calculation, reminder, streak, or device restriction is suitable for your circumstances. Consult an appropriate qualified person or local authority for guidance that requires it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, use, or profits arising from or related to the App.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. The developer may suspend or terminate access to the App if these terms are violated or where reasonably necessary to protect the App, users, or legal rights. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
